Dreamcatcher Training
A 200 hour yoga teacher training program by Rebecca Butler Yoga & The Sanctuary Yoga Room
At The Sanctuary Yoga Room, Rebecca Butler (E-RYT500) is passionate about, and quite skilled at, teaching yoga teachers. She is playful, knowledgable, down to earth and real. She brings a lightheartedness to her training that is borne from her deeply held belief that health, movement and breath are privileges in this spiritual journey of human life that we often take for granted. As such, she loves to share her knowledge of teaching yoga with new and seasoned teachers alike so that they may in turn continue to spread this lifetime practice of yoga. As a teacher in training, you will learn more about:
- Teaching Yoga How to teach a sound, safe, and exciting vinyasa flow class created by Rebecca Butler.
- Chakras How to understand the basics of chakras and employ them in your journey of wellness.
- Sequencing The basics of how to create sound classes for every level of student.
- The Business of Yoga An introduction to how to create a profitable and thriving business within the yoga industry that brings you joy.
- Anatomy, Alignment & Assisting The basics of the gross anatomical functions and into the energy of the pose.
- Voice How to move energy with your own voice and teach from a place of power and connection.

When completed, you will have a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance approved certificate so that you will be ready to begin teaching, should you choose. This training is $4,000, with a $250 discount if tuition paid in full by June 1. There is a $250 application fee that is non refundable.

Why Teach Yoga.
In this module, you will come into deep awareness of your own inspiration to teach. You will also get to know your fellow trainees, who will likely become lifelong friends. This kickoff weekend will be an incredible first step into your training and developing this journey together. You will also get to know your mentors, who will be your constant companion throughout the training.

July 10–12, 2020

The Art of Teaching: Focus on Standing Poses.
Standing poses are key to healthy movement patterns. In this session we will list, analyze, de-mystify and assess the varying poses of this family. We will look at anatomy, sequencing, warming up for and warming down from these poses as well. Finally, we will consider the logical spiritual ties to the expression of these poses, as we practice teach them to one another. Hands on assists and modifications for all levels of students will be considered and practiced as well.

The Art of Teaching: Focus on Twists
Open and closed twists have tremendous impact on the body, mind and spirit connection. In this module, trainees can expect the practice of, discussion/breakdown/analysis of twists (closed and open) including light Sanskrit & English adaptations, anatomy of, contraindications, how to effectively assist and practice, sequencing strategies and more.

The Art of Teaching: Focus on Backbends
Back bends often allow the heart center to awaken and open. In this module, trainees can expect the practice of, discussion/breakdown/analysis of backbends including light Sanskrit & English adaptations, anatomy of, contraindications, how to effectively assist and practice, sequencing strategies and more.

November 13–15, 2020

The Art of Teaching: Focus on Arm Balances and Inversions
Arm balances and inversions, when properly practiced and carefully taught, can be empowering and exhilarating. In this module, trainees can expect the discussion/practice/breakdown/assisting strategies of Arm Balance + Inversions names and poses including light Sanskrit and English adaptations, including assisting strategies, and safe/effective sequencing for all levels, i.e. how to properly warm up for and warm down from so the joints are safe and sound, ready and primed, and nurtured in the process.

The Business of Yoga & Graduation
It is possible to make money in the business of yoga. Throughout the training, we will discuss how to create and get your brand out there ethically and effectively, how to navigate the waters of this creative and still strategic industry, the in’s and out’s of the yoga world and where you, as a teacher and business person, fit in. In this final weekend, trainees will be expected to participate in final assessment procedure (including written exam) to gain the RBYTT/dreamcatcher training certificate. Details will be given out by the 5th module to endure plenty of time for preparations.
