Crystal’s travel blog describes her as a “curious, Type A personality with hippie & nomadic tendencies that loves animals, fashion, food, nature, new experiences, reading, travel, yoga… and sharing them ALL with friends and family!
One of the things she enjoys sharing most is her love of yoga which she has been practicing most of her adult life. In 2009, while living abroad and not having a work visa she had the time to immerse herself in her yoga practice and become a yoga instructor. She received her 200-hour RYT certification in Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga with Frog Lotus Yoga and is a member of Yoga Alliance. She stays current with continuing yoga education and in February 2015 she studied with Judith Hanson Lasater becoming a certified “Relax & Renew”® Restorative Yoga Instructor.
Crystal is a BSN, RN and is currently working as a Clinical Nurse Manager for Maxim Healthcare Services. She has always been interested in the health & wellness benefits of a regular yoga practice and always found a way to incorporate asana, pranayama and meditation into her nursing practice. “I believe yoga is a gift” she says, which is why she is passionate about encouraging people to give yoga a try with the hope that they will love it and incorporate it, and its many benefits, into their everyday life. “I have seen yoga change people’s lives in so many ways. It is a layered, soothing experience for the mind, body and spirit!
“Unfortunately, yoga can be intimidating especially for beginners and it is my responsibility as a teacher to make everyone, whatever their level, feel comfortable yet challenged in their practice to maximize their yoga journey.” You can expect Crystal’s classes to be welcoming, nurturing and encouraging.
Crystal lives in Fort Worth with her husband Benjamin, and her 4 adopted furry friends.
